"Sex and the City" producers snub New York for movie premiere!

Will they be handing out sunglasses to the audience to soften the shock of seeing Sarah Jessica Parker on the big screen?
Entertainmentwise:
The makers of Sex And The City: The Movie have decided to downsize the film's world premiere in London - after coming under fire for not launching the film in New York.
Both the hit TV series and the movie were filmed in the Big Apple and the city features highly in storylines.
And movie bosses came under fire from New Yorkers after revealing the movie will premiere in the U.K., two weeks before it is unveiled in its spiritual home of the Big Apple on 12 May.
But now the company has released a statement playing down the London premiere, insisting it will much less high profile than the New York screening.
A spokesman says, "London will be much smaller. The whole cast isn't even going. We're still planning the big premiere to be in New York."
