Halle Berry's relationship with her abusive father has improved after his death.

This is the most bizarre quote I've read in a while. If communicating with a dead relative makes you feel better, by all means go for it. But if you start to recreate the person's personality, you've got problems......
Star Pulse:
Halle Berry meditates to get closer to the abusive father she hardly knew. The Oscar winner and her dad Jerome Jesse Berry were still estranged after many years when he died.
But Berry insists she has no regrets about not embracing her father and forgiving him for all the heartache he put her sister and mother through when she was a child. However, Berry insists on having a relationship with her dad now he's dead.
She explains, "I realize that you can have relationships with people even when they're gone and my relationship with my father has gotten much better now that he's not here. I've been doing a series of meditations since the day he died, where I go to this gazebo - I imagine it in my mind - and there he is sitting there, and he says to me all the things that he should have said to me in his life.
"It's been slowly healing my wounds."
