Oscar-winner Tilda Swinton has defended her unconventional love life.
The 47-year-old star - who won the Best Supporting Actress Oscar on Sunday - is raising her 10-year-old twin sons with their father, 67-year-old artist John Byrne, while at the same time romancing 29-year-old Sandro Kopp.
However, Tilda brushed off recent scathing attacks on her unusual love life, insisting all three were happy with the complicated arrangement.
She said: "I don't have a husband. I've never been married. I have children with someone else, with whom I'm bringing up my children. And I've lived with someone else, my sweetheart, for the last three years, and maybe it's extraordinary that we're really all friends."
"What is true is that John and I live with our children and Sandro is sometimes here with us, and we travel the world together. We are all a family."
Tilda - who wore a one-sleeved black dress to the ceremony - revealed she was stunned to win.
She added: "I'm still recovering from that moment, and I have absolutely no idea what happened after that. You can tell me my dress fell off and I'd believe you!"

Singer-turned-TV presenter Paula Abdul is unfazed by criticism of her lip-synched set at the Super Bowl earlier this month - because she is convinced she gave the performance of a lifetime.
The 45-year-old's taped performance of new song Dance Like There's No Tomorrow marked her first singing appearance in more than a decade - and she was determined to prove she is still a first-class entertainer, despite not singing live.
She says, "It's pretty funny to me. In the past, whenever I was accused of lip-synching I would purposefully hit bad notes so that people would know I was singing live! But at the Super Bowl, they won't let you sing live for technical reasons. I was singing live over the backing track and I put a whole dance production together. People were waiting for a disaster but I nailed it."

The 39-year-old isn’t pregnant yet, but Star reports she’s put her eggs on ice until Mr. Right comes along.
“It was a really smart move, because it buys (Jen) a few years to figure it all out,” an insider told the magazine. “The pressure has lifted.”
The insider claims Jennifer could postpone having her first baby until she turns 45, and with ample resources and plenty of stamina, the actress isn’t worried about the wait. “She has loads of energy. And she’s so rich that she could just hire five nannies!”

On the heels of 'The Bourne Ultimatum' winning three Academy Awards, Daily Variety reports that Universal Studios has wrangled MATT DAMON and director PAUL GREENGRASS to commit to a fourth Jason Bourne film.
In junket interviews for 'Ultimatum,' Damon had implied he was done with the franchise after three movies. But huge box office and a close working relationship with Greengrass -- who directed 'The Bourne Supremacy' and 'The Bourne Ultimatum' -- may have been the deciding factors in his choice to return.
Sunday night, 'The Bourne Ultimatum' scored a hat trick with Oscars for Best Film Editing, Best Sound Editing and Best Sound Mixing.

Amid speculation Kate Hudson is currently hiding a baby bump, a U.S. publication is reporting that the actress has been dating old-flame Justin Timberlake for the past year.
Kate hasn’t been pictured with a man by her side for a while now, making the pregnancy rumours even more intriguing.
However, the New York Post believes they've hit on a possible explanation – namely a secret romance with JT.
A source tells the Post: "Kate is very private and refuses to be seen with him in public.
"She doesn't want to be humiliated like Cameron Diaz was when he dumped her. But they talk every day on the phone and see each other often."
As we reported previously, the pair were allegedly spied making out at a Hollywood club in January while Justin’s supposed girlfriend, Jessical Biel, was filming in London.
We can only speculate whether JT has anything to do with Kate's rumoured expanding tum...
