Nadine overcomes blinding gunshot & triumphs in her daily life.

As many of you know, one of my favorite charities is The Carroll Center for the Blind. I have met so many fantastic people that work there or receive services from the organization. One of the great people I met is named Nadine. Nadine works at the Carroll Center as a development associate. Nadine is completely blind but always impresses me with her professionalism and the outstanding way she does her job. Working at her position would be tough for a fully sighted person. Nadine does it with no vision and does it better than anyone else could. I was already impressed with Nadine, and then I learned her story. Nadine lost her vision due to a gunshot to the face from a person that she was in a long term relationship with.
Nadine told her story to the ROSE foundation when she was named the 2009 R.O.S.E. Award Recipient.
