Comedian Ellen DeGeneres and her actress partner Portia de Rossi topped a poll that asked American moms which celebrities they would feel most comfortable leaving their kids with.
DeGeneres and de Rossi, who married in August when same-sex marriages in California were briefly legalized but who have no children, beat Angelina Jolie and partner Brad Pitt with their eclectic brood of six in the ParentDish.com poll of more than 10,000 moms.
The TV chat show host and de Rossi took 31 percent of votes with singleton Jennifer Aniston coming in second at 22 percent. Jolie and Pitt got 18 percent of votes, while chat show queen Oprah Winfrey got just nine percent.

I had a talk with her and I said, “I think everyone in America knows why I won’t accept Charlie.” But what people don’t know is that he’s a bad influence on her. She’s not staying as healthy as she should be. He’s 19, he can party his ass off. She’s 48. I said, “Mom, if you want to have a relationship with me you have to dump Charlie.” It’s not because of his age. If he were 5 years old and a good influence on her then that would better. But I’m just not happy with the situation because of their poor judgment — with what they do.

OK!: What kinds of things do they do? I know there are things that could damage her health and make her get old really quick. I don’t want to see that happen. I’m trying to stick to the tough love thing. I’m just staying away until she wakes up. In order for me to keep my sanity, I have to love her from afar. We are totally different women. I’m straightlaced, don’t do drugs, stick to my regimen. It’s different there.

OK!: What can we expect this season on Brooke Knows Best?
It’s crazier. I went on a date with a girl. The girl was really awesome and we had a blast. Then it got to the point where she was wanting to kiss me. Everyone knows I do not go there.

OK!: Do you feel comfortable in a bikini?
I do. I love my body. Thick or not, I’m firm. I don’t have cellulite. I’m happy with how I am. People should know, I’m only doing the diet for the entertainment business. It’s not really what you’re supposed to look like in real life.

The anti-gay-marriage contestant turned traditional-marriage advocate quickly issued a statement denouncing the leak as the latest in a series of "attacks on me and my integrity as a woman."
"My comments defending traditional marriage have led to intimidation tactics that seek to undermine my reputation and somehow silence me and my beliefs, as if opinion is only a one-way street," says Prejean.
"I am a Christian, and I am a model. Models pose for pictures, including lingerie and swimwear photos. Recently, photos taken of me as a teenager have been released surreptitiously to a tabloid website that openly mocks me for my Christian faith.
"I am not perfect, and I will never claim to be. But these attacks on me and others who speak in defense of traditional marriage are intolerant and offensive. While we may not agree on every issue, we should show respect for others' opinions and not try to silence them through vicious and mean-spirited attacks."

Don't believe the Hoff hype.

This weekend, the Baywatching, Knight Riding world was holding its collective breath for word on how its hero David Hasselhoff was faring after a report claimed he had been hospitalized for alcohol poisoning.

As relayed by RadarOnline.com, the America's Got Talent judge was supposedly found unconscious and "barely breathing" Saturday in his Encino, Cailf., home by his 16-year old daughter, Hayley. That required ex-wife Pamela Bach to rush him to Cedars-Sinai Medical Center.

Scary stuff to be sure—especially considering he nearly died of alcohol poisoing after a 2002 binge—but also a load of bunk, according to Team Hasselhoff.

"David is totally fine. These stories are complete fabrications," the actor's attorney, Melvin Goldsman, exclusively tells E! News. "He wasn't feeling well, he went into the hospital, and was released. I talked to him early Sunday morning and he was completely fine."

While a source close to the TV fixture acknowledges Hasselhoff "probably had a drink" before his trip to the emergency room, Goldsman and fellow attorney Marci Levine have issued a separate follow-up statement insisting the actor "was at no time in the condition described" by Radar.

"Mr. Hasselhoff is both disturbed and saddened by the fact that a certain individual is disseminating grossly inaccurate stories about him to the press for ulterior motives," the lawyers' statement continues.

While they are not naming names, it's easy to hazard a guess that a certain ex-wife might be in their crosshairs.

After all, Bach's spokesman hints to E! News that Hasselhoff is still battling his well-documented demons, which include hospital treatment after a 2007 relapse and public humiliation following his notorious videotaped meltdown.

"Despite their ongoing legal issues, Pamela remains supportive and loyal while her ex-husband addresses his alcohol-related issues. She is grateful for the overwhelming support received by the Hasselhoff family and requests privacy during this difficult time."

Bach and Hasselhoff fought through a nasty divorce and custody battle that saw them accuse each other of having alcohol-abuse issues.

Coco Sumner, 18, was dining with a friend in Los Angeles when she complained that she was feeling unwell.
When she tried to stand up, she collapsed, knocking her head on a chair as she fell to the ground.
She was taken to hospital where a scan showed she had a fracture to her skull.
Sting, 57, who is working in the US, rushed to be at her bedside when she called him after the accident, which happened last weekend.
Coco’s mother, actress Trudie Styler, flew to Los Angeles to be with her daughter.
A source told The Mail on Sunday last night: ‘Coco went flying and landed with a real crash. She really took a tumble.
‘One of the waiters helped her to her feet but she complained that she didn’t feel well.
‘The staff and Coco’s friend were very concerned and called for an ambulance and Coco was taken to hospital. No one was taking any chances as it was quite a scary fall.
‘She hadn’t had anything to drink and it happened quite early into the evening.’
The source added: ‘The doctors are still running tests. Obviously it’s a serious injury and Coco is under constant surveillance.’

Disney's practice of licensing its characters for placement on children's food products is not new, but its strategy is. Whereas cereal boxes and fast-food bags used to be prime real estate for company-to-kid marketing, alarming rates of childhood obesity caused Disney to think twice about aligning its name with sugary or fatty foods. So over the past few years, Disney has gradually distanced itself from junk food. It ended its McDonald's Happy Meal contract in 2006 and has been expanding its association with healthier foods since then. The result: an abundance of Disney-branded healthy stuff, including fruits, vegetables and dairy products..........

One such product is the High School Musical avocado. When Disney stamps a product with a popular character, such as tween sensation Zac Efron, it "can't help but benefit from the nag factor," says Lance Gatewood, the vice president of Disney Consumer Products' Food, Health & Beauty, North American division. And, when kids are begging their parents for something nutritious, like an avocado, he explains, it's hard to say no. Parents are happy, growers are happy, grocers are happy, kids are happy and healthy, and, oh yeah, Disney is pleased, too. It turns out that seasonal fruits can be the perfect promotional platform for a film. Last summer's avocado season coincided conveniently with the fall release of High School Musical 3. Besides the promotional boost, Disney earns back royalties on units sold. And, because of the Disney appeal, more units tend to sell. Sometimes it's a lot more: Bagged-apple sales went up 47 percent during a High School Musical promotion at Winn-Dixie.

After a long and valiant struggle with brain cancer, “American Idol” winner David Cook’s brother Adam died at 1 a.m. this morning at a hospice in Terre Haute, IN.

A family friend told RadarOnline.com exclusively, “Adam passed away peacefully.

“He was surrounded by his family, including his wife Kendra, his children, his father and his step-mom, among others.”

David was rushing back on a jet when his beloved brother died.

“The family thought that Adam would go much sooner than this, actually,” said the Cook family friend.

“That’s why David left his tour a few weeks back so that he could be with Adam.

“They said their goodbyes then.”

But Adam, 36, rallied briefly after that…and David returned to his concert tour.

“He took a turn for the worse this weekend and David rushed to get home.”

But sadly he couldn’t make it in time.

Last year, friends of the stricken lawyer arranged a $45,000 trip on a chartered medical jet to Los Angeles so Adam could see David perform on Idol.

UFO spotters are claiming they have spotted an alien skull on Mars after NASA beamed back satellite images from the planet. At first glance it looks like a rocky desert - but this image of the Mars landscape has got space-gazers talking.
An oddly shaped space boulder appears to show eye sockets and a nose leading to speculation it might be a Martian skull.
Internet forums are full of chatter about the picture, taken by a panoramic NASA camera known as Spirit.

SCARLETT Johansson's dream of being a director was dashed on her first try.
Johansson -- who's said in the past she'd prefer to direct rather than act -- helmed a segment for the upcoming movie "New York, I Love You," a series of intertwined love stories shot by several auteurs, including Brett Ratner and Natalie Portman.
But unfortunately for Johansson, her segment, starring Kevin Bacon and shot in black and white, was deemed "unwatchable," sources said.
"It was really bad, so it was cut," one insider told Page Six. Andrei Zvyagintsev's segment starring Carla Gugino and Goran Visnjic was also cut from the final edit.
But the film's producer, Emmanuel Benbihy, told us Johansson's bit ended up in the scrapheap not because it was bad, but because "the story did not specifically involve an interpersonal relationship, and it was conceptualized to be filmed in black and white -- both of which were extreme departures from the other films."
Benbihy added, "Scarlett presented me with an extremely compelling, albeit unconventional, narrative that appeared as though it would not necessarily conform to the overall approach of the entire collective . . . However, I was very much moved by her vision and I did not want to pass on the opportunity to help her develop it. All that matters to me is the genuine movie language of the author."
He continued: "Scarlett and I nonetheless agreed that a final determination of its appropriateness in the context of the other contributions and the overall story would be best made in the editorial process. And after months of editing . . . I had to admit that there were editorial decisions to be made in the interest of serving the overall narrative and composition that resulted in previously filmed scenes and footage not getting used."
Johansson and Zvyagintsev's "visions" will be shown on the DVD, however.

The worst movie ever made? "Tiptoes" trailer starring Kate Beckinsale, Matthew McConaughey and Gary Oldman as a little person.

This movie is from 2003...but I as a movie buff have never heard of it. Gary Oldman as a little person? WTF? Why not cast a real little person in the role? The trailer opens with Kate ready to pleasure McConaughey orally. Now that will get your attention...This thing looks like such a mess I HAVE to see it.
